Jean E. Sprengel ’81 reports that she graduated from the University of Southern California in May with a Master of Studies in Law. In conjunction with the degree, she completed certificates in Health Care Compliance, Compliance, and Entertainment Industry and Law. She said it was a challenge to study while continuing her full-time practice of anesthesiology.
Dr. Sprengel has also joined Mission Plasticos and Shaping Lives (California) by donating her anesthesiology skills as they perform reconstructive surgery on those in need both in Southern California and abroad. The organizations were founded by plastic surgeons who are based in Newport Beach, California. For 20 years, they have provided services to many children with deformities, such as cleft lips and palates and burn deformities, as well as to adults needing various types of reconstructive surgery.
