Alyson L. Palmer ’56 was born March 31, 1929, and died Jan. 16, 2020, at the age of 90. Dr. Palmer graduated from earned her undergraduate degree in chemistry at Walla Walla College.
She attended Loma Linda University School of Medicine, where she met her husband Henry Brodie and they were married in 1955. They both were recruited in 1966 to work at Kettering Medical Center upon its grand opening. Dr. Palmer was the first female resident in their pathology department. In addition to her husband and parents, Dr. Palmer was preceded in death by her sister, Joy Tinner and her brother, William Palmer. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
