Bere Adventist Hospital
About the Hospital/Clinic: Extremely rural and underdeveloped 100-bed hospital renowned through the country for surgical excellence. Has a nursing school. Currently, there are three physicians.
Needs: Long-term and short-term surgeons. Those interested in training new nurses would be desired also. Nurses function as residents here.

About the Hospital/Clinic: Developing a medical school for Ethiopians and South Sudanese to transform health outcomes for the region by recruiting, in part, refugees to become part of their own solution.

Kibuye Hope Hospital
About the Hospital/Clinic: The hospital is located in the rural highlands of Burundi, east Africa. It currently has around 250 beds. Rachel McLaughlin serves as part of a team of 10 other North American trained specialist physicians and 8 Burundian generalist doctors. The hospital performs close to 2,000 deliveries per year and over 200 surgeries per month. It is also the primary teaching hospital for Hope Africa University, which trains medical students from across the continent.
Volunteer Opportunities: 2-4 weeks, 5-8 weeks, 8+ weeks (French language is strongly recommended.)
Lilongwe Adventist Health Centre
About the Hospital/Clinic: Urban Health Center with 12 inpatient beds, soon to be 17 beds (3 critical care, 3 private, 3 postpartum ward, 8 semi-private). 2 dentists. 1 general surgeon. 1 Ob/Gyn. 3 GP doctors. 12 nurses. 1 anesthetist. Total staff: 45. Serves the middle and upper class in Malawi’s capital city.
Needs: Specialist in internal medicine who can manage critical care. Volunteer critical care nurses willing to train our nurses would also be welcome. A volunteer who is good at master planning a facility would be helpful, as we continue to expand.

Scheer Memorial Hospital
About the Hospital/Clinic: SMAH is located 45 minutes from Kathmandu. It is the oldest medical facility in the district (it was started in the late 1950s by Dr. Stanley Sturges, an LLU alumni). The hospital serves a mixed demographic group but predominately a very poor, rural, subsistence farming community.

Mission Hospital Bangkok
About the Hospital/Clinic: Bangkok Adventist Hospital, also known locally as Mission Hospital, is a non-profit general hospital with a registered capacity of 200 beds and 24 bassinets, located on Phitsanulok Road in Bangkok, Thailand. The hospital’s name in Thai literally translates as Hospital Mission, which is why it is called “Mission Hospital” by both Thais and local expatriates.
Volunteer Opportunities: Yes, but must have a Thai medical license and be fluent in Thai.
Penang Adventist Hospital
About the Hospital/Clinic: Full service mission hospital which has about 10 SDA doctors and dentists out of about 70 doctors and dentists.
Needs: We have need of doctors in the specialties of neurology, endocrinology, pathology, medical and radiation oncology.

Okinawa Adventist Medical Center
About the Hospital/Clinic: 48-bed hospital divided almost equally between Ob/Gyn & Hospice. In-hospital multi-specialty clinics (dermatology, internal medicine, pediatrics, dental, and health screening).
Needs: Japanese-speaking lifestyle medicine educators to carry on and expand the program started in January of 2017.

Haiti Adventist Hospital
About the Hospital/Clinic: Haiti Adventist Hospital (HAH) was established with the vision to provide quality health services to the the entire population of Haiti with a view to accomplish its mission to continue with the healing work of Jesus Christ on this earth.

Guam SDA Clinic
About the Hospital/Clinic: Eye Clinic is small but well equipped. Clinic makes use of Guam Surgicenter, a superbly equipped and staffed private operating room complex. Currently, there are two part-time optometrists.
Needs: A full-time general ophthalmologist who is prepared to do excellent cataract and glaucoma surgery. A full-time optometrist.
