Wynton G. Shaw ’56 was born the eldest of five children on Jan. 10, 1929, to Gerald and Della Shaw in Long Creek, Oregon. He died Sept. 1, 2019.
Dr. Shaw practiced obstetrics and gynecology for 31 years at Palomar Hospital, delivering over 10,000 babies during his career. He will forever be remembered as a Christian gentleman who loved God and family.
Dr. Shaw is survived by his wife of 69 years, Darlene; sisters, Sarah Spaulding and Marcene Halverson; children, Doreen Shaw-Wentland, Dyanne Cogley, and Robert; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Janelle Teichman; brother, Melvin; and sister, Carol Morrill.
