Ronald R. Scott, ’43, passed away from natural causes on November 9, 2022, at the age of 105 years and 319 days, making him the longest living family member in his lineage.
Dr. Scott interned at Los Angeles County Hospital and completed his residency in OB-GYN at White Memorial Hospital in Los Angeles, where he remained on the teaching staff for 20 years.
He spent most of his 39 years of practice at St. Francis Hospital in Lynwood, California, where he was named chief of staff twice. He also was a member of the hospital’s executive board for many years. His international service included relieving a physician at Karachi Adventist Hospital in Pakistan for three months.
Dr. Scott was a member of the American College of Surgeons, the International College of Surgeons, and in 1951 was a founding member of the American College of OB-GYN.
